María Cristina Hall (New York, 1991) is a Mexican-American editor, poet, immigration activist and translator between English, Spanish and Catalan. She is a doctoral student in Political and Social Sciences at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and holds a master’s degree in translation from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Her work can be found in Words without Borders, Loch Raven Review, Leveler, Mexico City Lit and Apogee, among other publications. Her interests range from the intersection between language and identity, which permeates much of her own writing, to the politics of Latin America and Catalonia, on which she has translated and edited various analyses for institutions around the world. As an activist, she focuses on the deportee community in Mexico City. She currently works at the Institut Ramon Llull in New York and her latest work is Goodbye, Ramona, co-translated with Megan Berkobien.
