JORDI LARIOS was born in Palafrugell, Catalonia, and graduated in Catalan Philology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where he was awarded his doctorate in 1986. In 1987 he moved to Cardiff to work as a Lecturer. He has published four poetry collections: Home sol (1984), El cop de la destral (2006), Rendezvous (2013), and En vespres grocs (2020). He is currently a professor at the University of St Andrews.
